Robert Moody, longtime conductor of the Philharmonic's Discovery Series and Youth concerts and currently the Music Director of the Winston-Salem Symphony, Artistic Director of Arizona Musicfest and Music Director of the Portland (Maine) Symphony Orchestra  joined the OKC Philharmonic as the guest conductor on Saturday, February 6th at the Civic Center Music Hall in downtown Oklahoma City, the concert program entitled "Symphonie Fantastique" features the programmatic orchestral epic of Hector Berlioz, Mozart’s Overture to The Abduction from the Seraglio and the Butterfly Lovers Violin Concerto by Cheng Gang and He Zhanhao with guest violinist Andrea Segar;  the works connected by a thread of story-telling, legend and fantasy!

Andrea Segar has appeared internationally both as a soloist and chamber musician.  Awarded a number of prizes in a series of national and international string competitions, her performances have also been featured on National Public Radio’s From the Top and Performance Today programs. 

Tracing its roots to the city’s first professional orchestra in 1924, the Oklahoma City Philharmonic formed in 1988 with the help of dedicated civic leaders and corporations and celebrates 27 years of performances in Oklahoma City.  Under the musical direction of Joel Levine, the orchestra performs Classics, orchestral Pops, and Discovery Family concerts, as well as a variety of community engagements.
