Spotlight on the Arts doesn't have any scheduled guests this week, but there is plenty going on! Lyric Theatre's production of Oklahoma! is still showing at the Civic Center. Ringling Brothers & Barnum and Bailey presents "Legends" will be at the Chesapeake Energy Arena. The Stars and Stripes River festival is taking place this weekend. And don't miss OKCFest 2015 at Harvey and SW 2nd, featuring local musical artists like Graham Colton and national country music sensations Rascal Flatts.

Spotlight on the Arts marks the start of the summer season this week! Join summer host April Rutledge at 10am as we hear from David Johnson for the Brightmusic Festival, Michael Bendure from the OU Art Museum, Don Jordon from the Oklahoma City REPertory Theatre for "One Man Lord of the Rings", Erin Woods from Reduxion Theatre for "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof", and a film maker from the deadCenter Film Festival.

Spotlight on the Arts, KUCO’s weekly one-hour interview program, focuses on local arts events and activities.  Guests from all over the metro, Edmond, and Norman appear on the show to discuss concerts, plays, musicals, visual arts, dance, festivals, fundraisers, university series, and more.

The program is hosted by KUCO General Manager Brad Ferguson and is broadcast live from the KUCO Studios on the campus of the University of Central Oklahoma.

The Kirkpatrick Foundation has been instrumental in support of the series at various times since its inception in 1984.  The Foundation funded equipment in 2002 and became an underwriter of the program in 2013.  KUCO extends its thanks to the Kirkpatrick Foundation for its continued support.
