This is the French version for tenor, starring Dimitri Korchak as Orphee, and with complete choreography by the Joffrey Ballet. You may have seen this two years ago on Great Performances on PBS.

One of the last performances at Lyric Opera of Chicago before the CoViD pandemic began stars Ailyn Perez and Benjamin Bernheim as Marguerite and Faust, Christian van Horn as Mefistofeles, and Edward Park as Valentine.

Wagner: Die Walkure

Wagner:  Die Walkure
This is the 2017 performance from Lyric Opera's complete Ring of the Nibelungen, presented as an archival performance for this COVID season. Christine Goerke and Eric Owens are Brunnhilde and Wotan, with Brandon Jovanovich and Elizabeth Strid as the brother and sister Siegmund and Sieglinde.

From the 2017-18 season, this performance of The Pearl Fishers featured Matthew Polenzani and Mariusz Kwiecen as the friends who both love the preiestess Leila, sung by Marina Rebeka.

June 20. Verdi: Rigoletto

This performance from 2-1/2 years ago featured today's reigning Rigoletto, Quinn Kelsey, with Matthew Polenzani as the Duke and Rosa Feola as Gilda.

Amber Wagner is the title character with Stephen La Colla as Calaf and Maria Agresta as Liu. The production was originally done for Dallas (a co-production which ended up in Chicago for its lasting home) and features a magnificent pearl held by a dragon, from which Turandot appears in the first act.

In this performance from last February, Lyric Opera of Chicago fielded a good cast, with Ana Maria Martinez and Marianne Crebasse as Fiordiligi and Dorabella, and Andrew Stenson and Joshua Hopkins as their suitors. Alessandro Corbelli is Don Alfonso.
