Brightmusic Chamber Ensemble

Concert 3

This week we’ll hear third concert of the current season offered by the Brightmusic Society now marking its 17th year of performances, the program featuring special guest artist hornist Adam Unsworth given at St Paul’s Cathedral in Oklahoma City on Tuesday, March 3rd and featuring six diverse works showcasing the instrument from the past and the present. Professor of Horn at the University of Michigan’s School of Music, Theatre & Dance, Adam Unsworth has also served as a member of The Philadelphia and Detroit Symphony Orchestras and has appeared as a recitalist and clinician at many universities across the United States, making several solo and chamber appearances at Carnegie’s Weill Recital Hall. Dedicated to commissioning and performing works of living composers, expanding the modern repertoire to extend the boundaries of the horn, Adam Unsworth joined Brightmusic Society musicians to present a program featuring contrasting works by two living composers, Catherine Likhuta and Daniel Schnyder as well as pieces by Robert Schumann, Franz Joseph Haydn, Robert Kahn and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
