 Chamber Music Festival 2019 Seretean Hall Community Concert

The mission of the McKnight Center for the Performing Arts at Oklahoma State University is to become a world-class epicenter for the arts, attracting celebrated national and international programs featuring notable performing arts productions and artists, the center intending to allow the university and the center’s supporters to express and be recognized for their passion for the arts on a global stage.  In anticipation of its October 2019 opening, the McKnight Center presented its second Chamber Music Festival, featuring a series of intimate soirée performances, a youth concert for area students, masterclasses for OSU student musicians, and a free community concert, the focus of this week's program. Internationally known and Oklahoma favorite pianist Anne-Marie McDermott returned as Artistic Director, along with the famed St. Lawrence Quartet and renowned violinist Alexander Kerr  and flutist Tara Helen O’Conner and performed the Flute Quartet No. 4 in A Major, K 298 by Mozart, Beethoven's final string quartet, the Quartet No. 16 in F Major, Op 135 and the Concerto for Violin, Piano and String Quartet in D Major, Op 21 by Chausson on the series’ final concert offered on Saturday, March 2nd at Oklahoma State University’s Seretean Center.
