The Eroica Trio

Armstrong Auditorium

“It has been decades since this country has produced a chamber music organization with this much passion” writes the San Francisco Examiner and the New York Times put it this way  “There is an edge of the seat intensity to every note they produce".  The Grammy nominated Eroica Trio playing together for over twenty-five years appeared at Armstrong Auditorium in the Hall’s inaugural year of concerts and returned for an encore performance  on Thursday, April 27th, the Hall now marking its 7th season.   Offering a program featuring the Chaconne from the Partita No. 2 in d minor for Violin by Johann Sebastian Bach arranged by Anne Dudley, the Aria (Cantilena) from Bachianas Brasileiras of Heitor Villa-Lobos arranged by Raimundo Penaforte, the Trio No. 4 in e minor for Piano and Strings (Dumky) of Antonin Dvorak and a new work written for them by American composer Kevin Puts "Trio Sinfonia,"  the ensemble was presented by the Armstrong International Cultural Foundation’s Performing Arts Series.
